Vaccinations

Yesterday and today I had the opportunity to work with one of the nurses at Hospital Los Andes to give vaccinations to the children and mothers. It was good practice for my injections...I probably gave over 50 of them over the past 2 days! We were giving BCG (tuberculosis vaccine) to the newborn babies in the post-partum unit in the morning and then administering tetanus, yellow fever, MMR, influenza, oral polio and rotavirus vaccines during the childrens 2, 4, 6, and 1 year checkups. I really enjoyed it! I will post pictures soon!

I only have one more day here tomorrow and then I head back to NYC on Saturday...I cannot wait to see Greg!! Tonight we are taking out our host mother for dinner in the city to celebrate and thank her for everything she has provided for us in this past month!
